The Team

Solo Bike (previously Italian Immersions) was founded by Darren Welch and Kerri Layton in 2002. Both share a passion for Italy & France, the culture, people, and in particular the food and wine. Add to this an idyllic cycling environment and you have a cyclists paradise.

With many of our clients returning 2,3 and sometimes 4 times we cannot take all the credit for the wonderful feedback we receive from them. Our incredible team extends to our local bike guides and drivers. Our many years of experience in Italy have provided us with the opportunity to form a professional and close knit team who are experts in their field.

Solo Bike was formed to share our vast knowledge and experience of Italy and now France with those who want more than a trip that clocks up kilometres and tired legs. Our trips include some of the best scenery, food and wine experiences and authentic accommodation Italy and France have to offer. With over 10 years experience in running our trips you will feel confident to relax, enjoy and of course immerse!
