How long have you been riding for? I started riding in 2004.
What is a typical training week for you (days p/week, intensity etc)? Normally I ride Saturday and Sunday mornings and in warmer months ride one or two mornings a week. Typically I ride about 150 – 200 kilometres a week. I ride with an informal (but well established) group generally riding Beach Road to Paterson River, Frankston or Mt Eliza but occasionally we ride in the Dandenongs or Kinglake.
I also ride in organised cycle events like Amy’s ride, Alpine Classic, High Country Challenge, Murray to Moyne, Cycling Victoria events etc.
How did you prepare for your trip to Italy, was it different from your typical training? Prior to going on trips I will try and ride consistently 3 – 4 times a week and do more hills.
