Darren & Kerri
Solo Bike was founded in 2002 by Darren Welch and Kerri Layton.
Solo Bike came to fruition whilst living and working in Auckland back in the late 1990's. Our passion for sport and adventure travel led us to create a business which ties these together, whilst aiming to deliver once in a lifetime experiences for our guests.
Along with our other Australian guide, Frankie (pictured below), we are immensely proud of the team we have created and are excited to be able to offer our wonderful trips again in 2023.
The Extended Team
With many of our clients returning multiple times we cannot take all the credit for the wonderful feedback we receive. Our team extends to our local bike guides and drivers, all of whom have been carefully recruited to support the implementation of our trips, and deliver unique authentic cultural experiences.
Carlo, Marco, Mauro, Giulio, Andrea and Stefano have been with us from the beginning and are like a second family.
